Based on the homonymous novel by Camille DeAngelis, we follow Maren Yearly (Taylor Russell), a young woman who wants the same things as all of us. She wants to be someone people look up to and respect. When her mother abandons her the day after her sixteenth birthday, Maren goes looking for the father she never knew and finds much more than she bargained for along the way. Love blossoms between a young woman on the fringes of society and an outcast drifter (Timothée Chalamet) as they embark on a 3,000-mile odyssey through America’s back roads. However, despite their best efforts, all roads lead back to their terrifying pasts and a final stand that will determine whether their love can survive their differences.
