Juanita (Alfre Woodard) needs experience and energy in her life if such things exist for an African-American premenopausal lady with three grown-up youngsters. She chooses to abandon her home in Columbus, Ohio and take a solitary ticket transport. She will make a trip to Paper Moon in Montana, a spot that appears to be so distant from the viciousness and the negligible urban existence of the city where she lives, similar to the moon. Once, Juanita will choose to reevaluate herself.
