Previous secondary school football star Eddie Palmer has gotten a sentenced criminal from a nearby saint, serving 12 years in a state jail. He gets back to Louisiana and moves in with his grandma, Vivian, who raised him. As he attempts to revamp his life, Palmer is spooky by the memory of his greatness days and according to the nearby local area. Things get convoluted when Vivian’s neighbor, Shelly, vanishes for quite a while, and her 7-year-old child, Sam, who is regularly the casualty of harassing at school, stays being taken care of by Palmer and his grandma. Palmer is attracted to a more brilliant world as he shapes a companionship with Sam and a relationship with his instructor, Maggie. Yet, Sam’s past takes steps to destroy his new life.
