In Drive My Car, adapted from a short story by Haruki Murakami, the film follows two lonely people who find the courage to face their past. Yusuke Kafuku (Hidetoshi Nishijima) is a successful theater actor and director, married to Oto (Reika Kirishima), a very beautiful woman, but also a screenwriter with many secrets, with whom he shares his life, his past and artistic collaboration.
